It was a great night. Much fun was had, much drink was consumed and some good conversations were had. All good stuff. Roll on next year!

Sad not to see Kearney on there, as his book was the most 'Gemmell-like' by about a light-year. For me it's Abercrombie all the way. Last Argument of Kings is the best conclusion to a fantasy trilogy, erm, ever (if you don't count Lord of the Rings…

My favourite fantasy 'book' of all time is definitely The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien. My favourite fantasy 'novel' is A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. Other works I rankly highly are R. Scott Bakker's Prince of Nothing Trilogy, Joe Abercro…

Hi Adam - sorry about the shennanigans with the messaging system - thought I'd be better to contact people via their pages. Thanks for the kind offer of some reviews - we've had a couple of such offers from reviewers & bloggers. If you don't mind, I'll get back to you on it, (probably in a few days) as soon as it's clear which books the site Members want to review (as you might guess, a few are really popular!) I think it's only fair to the Members to try and get the scheme up and running (despite Ning's annoying faults!)

Will be in touch soon & thanks again!
Debbie

Hi Adam - welcome to the site! Hope you will check-out the Nominees and then come over to the Forum to let us know who you think should win... We love the cut and thrust of debate... swords checked at the door though!

Love your hat!
